Walk 3 info

A pleasant walk consisting of a four-block long ‘circle’ of the colonial home district with sophisticated shops located in re-purposed colonial homes with some fine boutiques, hotels, B&B’s and studios, plus a promenade through shady Juarez Park, where artwork is sold on Sundays. An hour’s stroll depending on shopping time.

This easy walk is marked by sophisticated stores like El Tocador, and Insh’ala, plus San Miguel’s two new luxury hotels - the Matilda and the Rosewood, each recommended for a visit to their restaurants, bars and elegant spas.

Mid-walk you’ll enjoy Juárez Park, green and beckoning, before you head back up Sollano Street. Both Aldama and Sollano are “high rent” areas because of the stately colonial homes and their proximity to the Jardín. Some date from as much as 300 years ago, built as the residences of early Spanish settlers. Sollano 16 is a great example of the contemporary use of an old colonial home for retail and restaurant space.
